Just saying hi

I caught him in the middle of eating meat sticks - you can see a little chunk of it on my chin! LOL

Grow Brain Grow!

It's amazing to see my son learn something new and discover a new part of his brain! Here is an update of what he has been doing:

Gives kisses
Shares hiss food with me (oh yummmy. LOL. Baby spit and food)
Points to his toes when asked "where's your toe"
Is learning what "nose" and "finger" means
Says yum yum when eating and told me "yum yum" the other day when he was hungry and ready to eat.
Brought me his empty cup when he was thirsty for more.
Found and handed me a diaper when he needed his diaper changed
Knows MANY words, but just can't say them yet.
When he hears the planes and when we say "plane" he knows to look up for the plane and follows it with his eyes until it disappears.

And that is just the overview of what he has been doing lately. He is surprises me every day with the new things he does and how he is learning. Just melts my heart!

OH OH OH, one other thing. He now does this little dance when music comes on the TV. Just too cute!

He loves me, really really loves me!

So let me tell ya, my sweet hubby isn't a very emotional person. Nor does he like to talk about "serious" issues much. I am the one to bring things up and then we'll talk, but today my husband peaked his head in the office and asked, rather bluntly (lol), "Are you depressed?".

Well, as you can imagine I was taken aback by that question. I saw the look on his face and he was truly concerned. I asked him why he asked me that and he told me he found a CD about depression.

I knew exactly what he was talking about, but before I explained what it was I took a moment to take in his care and concern for me and really relish this rare moment ;) It had to take so much courage for him to ask me something so important.

The CD is a free sample of a work at home mom audiozine (you can find at www.homebasedmom.com) and it happened to be about depression (although as I listen to it, it actually has much more to it then that topic). I explained it and informed him that although, yes, I am stressed I am not depressed but appreciated his love and concern.

That simple question and the concern of my husband really touched me. I have a good one. The days I feel like complaining about him I need to remember the goodness and caring heart he has :)

Kissing Bandit

That's my little man now :) Finally after months of rejecting the kisses and hugs of his mommy he has started to give me kisses :) I mean, he would humor me, but never would give them back...I tell you his little smooches are the sweetest (and sloppiest) smooches ever!

There is no justice

I imagine some of you will disagree with me, but I think Michael Jackson is as guilty as sin, but he got off of all charges. I believe it to be because he is a celebrity. Just like with OJ and Robert Blake. He is now free to keep doing it and it makes my heart so sad. It is my opinion that when you're a celeb you're much more likely to get off of the charges because people don't want to convict their fav. movie, sports, music stars.

Baby Contest

Here are a couple new pictures of our family:

Nick's new fav. thing to do is put this big lego's in his mouth, stack them up side by side on the couch and TV stand and even put them on his daddy's fingers :)
